AROUND Southlake

Southlake RV is located less than 8 miles from downtown Knoxville. Knoxville is a large metropolis that has every modern convenience while maintaining it's old city charm. We are 30 minutes away from Townsend ("The Quiet Side of the Great Smoky Mountains") and less than an hour away from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area. We are conveniently located 10 minutes away from the McGhee Tyson Airport and several large RV dealers. Across the street is an award winning BBQ restaurant that has been featured on the Food Network and a marina that rents various watercraft for your enjoyment.

Great Smoky Mountians
Sports

About 30 minutes away is the Great Smoky Mountains. Plenty of hiking, horseback riding, riding trails, tubing, and many other great activities.

Knoxville

Knoxville is a large metropolis of about 200,000 people that was founded in 1786. Numerous cultural attractions (Sunsphere, Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, Museum of Arts, etc.) can be enjoyed. Knoxville boasts of a wide assortment of highly ranked resturants and a booming micro brewery industry.

If you don't know, football is second only to church in the south (and not by far!). Neyland Stadium, home of the Tennessee Volunteers, is located less than 10 minutes away. It is one of the largest college football stadiums in the world and if you are able to attend a game, it is a truly unique experience.

Thompson-Boling Arena

Numerous events are held at the Thompson-Boling Arena. Everything from UT's basketball, volleyball, World Wrestling, concerts,comedians and a host of other activities hold their events here.
